PHOTOS: Rivers Police Shoots Senator Magnus Abe on Orders from CP Joseph Mbu

The impunity by Rivers State Police Commissioner, Joseph Mbu, is getting to dangerous dimension:

A serving Senator from Rivers State, Senator Magnus Abe, was on Sunday shot at point blank during a rally in Port Harcourt, the state capital organised in solidarity with the APC. Since the senator announced that he is set to dump PDP and join APC he has become an enemy to some powerful men in Abuja.

Trouble started when Policemen in the state tried disrupting a scheduled APC rally at the College of Arts and Science field by tear-gassing those in attendance and residents in the area.

Senator Abe got to scene and asked why the police was doing such and one of them shot him...

The luck he had was that it was a rubber bullet, but it affected him badly because he was shot at close range on his chest. He said the order to shoot was given by Joseph Mbu, the controversial police commissioner.

Senator Abe is currently in a Port Harcourt hospital receiving treatment.
